Author: Shaykhul-Islaam ‘Abdul-Wahhaab, exp. by Shaykh Fawzaan
Paperback: 160 Pages (expanded 2nd edition)
Published: October, 2004, April, 2008

The classic work of the great scholar of Najd, Shaykh al-Islaam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhaab (may Allaah have Mercy on him), Nawaaqidh al-Islaam, “The Things that Nullify One’s Islaam,” is explained by the virtuous shaykh, Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him), passage by passage, in a way that will help the Muslims grasp a clear understanding of the nature of the things that nullify one’s Islaam and its manifestations.

Stated Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan in his introduction:

” Knowledge of them is very important for the Muslim, so that he can stay away from them and be warned about them. And also if the Muslim is not aware of them, then it is feared that he may somehow fall into one of them. It is an issue of great significance and extreme importance, since they are the very things that nullify one’s Islaam and invalidate it. So then knowledge of the reasons for apostasy is very important ”

Included are 33 questions on the topic, answered by Shaykh Saalih himself, a number of passages from his other works in the footnotes and in separate appendixes, along with the complete text of the original “Things that Nullify One’s Islaam” in Arabic. This publication is expected to have a great impact on the Muslims’ understanding of their Religion, in shaa’ Allaah, and cause many to take heed about vital affairs that have often been ignored or given little regard.

During this year’s summer courses with Moosaa Richardson, we are introducing live webcasts and presentations. Registered students will be able to access a private webpage and be able to listen to and view the live feed from Toronto. In addition, we will be able to share notes and documentation live and in real-time. What is HearMe?

HearMe is a professional solution for webcasts and presentations. It is a sister-company of PalTalk and uses similar technology only with much higher quality audio and video feeds. The features are just as easy to use, the same basic PalTalk layout only it is entirely web-based, no software to install and has absolutely no yucky banners or advertisements. In addition, it supports group conferencing (several mics at once) and unlike PalTalk, you will be able to see the video feed without purchasing a premium account (a PalTalk requirement for seeing video). We will also be able to share PDFs and other presentation documents in real-time with you during the classes, giving you a real classroom feel. If you have used PalTalk before, then you will recognize the HearMe environment quite easily.

From the Benefits

H.264 video technology – highest available quality

Multi-user video feeds

12 frames per second provides real time motion

Full duplex audio utilizing our patented VoIP technology

Hands-free speaking with voice-activated audio controls

Multi-channel mixing allows up to 3 simultaneous speakers (creates more natural, interactive conferencing experience)

Share any application on our computers with you

Transfer files to individual participants

Send private text messages to meeting attendees

I’m a Registered Summer Course Student, How Do I Access the Room?
Check your email (the one you signed up to the courses with) for the private URL to access the courses with. The URL will be emailed out to all registered students before Tue. 24th of June 2008 insha’Allah. There will be a test-run on Wed. June 25th @ 7PM-9PM EST for those who want to sign in and test out the room. This opportunity is being provided to make sure you are able to login and answer any questions you may have.

I Like PalTalk, Why Not Use It?
PalTalk does not allow you to view the video stream (without purchasing an upgraded account) and is a free product of very low quality. After consultation with PalTalk representatives, they advised us that the best solution would be their other new product HearMe which is a professional solution that is much more feature-rich and we will all benefit from avoiding PalTalks banners, advertisements and interference from harassing users who stop by to make trouble etc. It is a much better solution.

Can I Use My PalTalk Username on Hearme?
Yes and No. Even though HearMe and PalTalk are related, you will need to create an account on Hearme. Please create exactly the same account as the PalTalk username you provided in your registration to avoid complications. You will be able to create your account when we send out the private URL for the courses.

Will HearMe work on Windows Vista? To run HearMe on Windows Vista, Internet Explorer must be run as an Administrator. For help with how to run Internet Explorer as an Administrator, click here.
- A signatory to the Yasir Qadhi & Hamza Yusuf pledge between Sunnah and Sufism.
- A self confessed “Salafi-Sufi”!!
- A caller to the Quilliam organisation that calls for the abolition of vast chunks of Islamic Shariah law, as well as combating ‘Wahabism’
- A caller to Sunni-Shi’ah links.
- A caller to secularism.

Click here and read his distasterous and misguided comments and the double standards of those who defend the Jamiat blindly:

>>USAMAH ON SCHOLARS, MUSIC & THE VEIL<<

Who will now come to the defence of the calamities of the Jami’yyah Ahle-Hadith UK and its speakers?!

** Suhaib Hasan himself participates in events with the Soofees such as the Prophet’s birthday celebrations. His praise for Hamza Yusuf can be seen in the latter’s deviated explanation of the Creed of Imaam at-Tahaawee, with words of shameless flattery.

It is unfortunate that untruthful individuals with alterior motives and hidden agendas (some from the UK and others from Madeenah) have deceived Shaikh Wasi’ullaah into defending this organisation that has within its ranks those who praise innovators and work alongside them and even display subservience to them - again such as Suhaib Hasan who works under the presidency of Yusuf al-Qardawi in the European fatwa council. On the same council appears Abdullah Juday and Rashid Ghanouchi; two other callers to misguidance.

Another example is ‘Lord’ Nazir Ahmad who claims that the niqaab (face veil) is NOT from Islaam, yet some deceivers informed Shaikh Wasi’ullah that he was a person of Sunnah and Salafiyyah!! So Shaikh Wasi’ullah issued some complimentary comments regarding him, stating that he is a ‘good person of Ahlul-hadith.’!

They also convinced Shaikh Wasi’Ullah that Abu Usaamah adh-Dhahabi was a person of Sunnah and Salafiyyah and so the shaikh praised him very highly (wallaahul-musta’aan). This is the same Abu Usamah who defends the innovator Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribi and spoke ill of Shaikh Rabee’ bin Haadee.

Till this day he translates for the misguided Muhammad al-Maghraawee, whose deviation and takfeeri ideology is well-documented, as well as Usaamah Qoosee.

And let us not forget that Abu Usaamah is the one who made ignorant attacks upon the Muslim rulers, and in specific, Saudi Arabia, claiming that they have thrown the Book and Sunnah behind their backs!

This Abu Usaamah who was exposed for his utter lack of wisdom, foolishness and not to mention the falsehood that was spread across the world in the TV documentary ‘Undercover Mosques’, wherein, in his typical mockery and clowning around with serious issues, exposed his own two-faced and ignorant approach in the da’wah. These are the reasons that cause non-Muslims who may have some justice to flee from Islam and the result is increase in Islamaphobia.

The same Abu Usamah adh-Dhahabi who is famously known in the West for his deceitful and inappropriate advances towards unsuspecting women which would cause anger to the soul of any upright and honourable father or guardian. And this affair is well-known and not hidden in the USA and the UK. So-much-so that the heads of the Jam’iyyah Ahlel-Hadith Green Lane mosque are aware of his antics, but sit back as if tacitly approving his evil.

However, Shaikh Wasi’Ullaah is told how great Abu Usaamah is, so as to extract more recommendations for this individual. So how is it that his calamities are ignored and is allowed to translate for Shaikh Wasi’ullaah?!

They convinced Shaikh Wasi’Ullah that this pseudo-political organisation upholds the banner of da’wah in the West, and that speaking out against them will harm or even bring down the da’wah in the English language! Yet historically this group has had very little to do with the spread of da’watus-Salafiyyah in the West. Indeed they have harmed the da’wah with much of their political machinations and two-faced methods.

This organisation and its figure-heads have been inviting, sharing platforms and co-operating with the likes of Yasir Qadhi, Tawfique Choudhury, Zakir Naik, Bilal Philips, Usamah Hasan, Abu Aliyah Surkheel, Lord Nazir, Salma Yaqoob, Hamza Yusuf and countless other deviants, and in this there is no doubt. So whilst the blind youthful defenders of this group seek to look for specks in the eyes of Salafi Publications, they ignore the planks of wood floating in the eyes of their Jam’iyyah!!

We hope that Shaikh Wasi’Ullah will see through the lies and fabrications of the blind followers of this group. And those who have an atom’s weight of justice from the youthful defenders of this Jam’iyyah should hasten to repent, rectify and inform Shaikh Wasi’ullah of all of this so that the Shaikh understands the reality of this organisation.

An introductory advice concerning sticking to the correct manhaj. Shaykh Muhammad explains some of the core foundations of the Islamic methodology. A tele-link with Shaykh Muhammad al-Anjaree from the Apr. ‘07 Seminar ‘Islam in our Times’ in Toronto, Canada. A good lecture for the person who is new to the Sunnah or new to issues of Manhaj and would like to understand some basic principles.

From the benefits discussed:

Understanding Islam based upon the Qur’an, Sunnah and the understanding of the salafus-saalih

Answering the claim: we follow the Qur’an, the Sunnah and ‘Ijmaa (what’s agreed upon)

Answering the claim: we need to form a new jama’ah (group) or organised movement in order to establish an Islamic state

The Fitnah (problem) of the common Muslims (or common speakers) making takfeer (declaring Muslims to be apostates)

The importance of the Muslim youth clinging to the major scholars of Islaam towards understanding their deen and taking their positions View this Item

A reply to the question: Do you advise a Muslim to follow one of the four madhaahib, using it as a source reference whenever there are conflicting opinions? Does following a madh-hab lead to success? And should a Muslim follow the opinion of other scholars as found in the books (of fiqh) that mentions the various opinions (of the different madhaahib)?

Thus, whoever calls to following one imaam to the exclusion of the others, and obligates the ummah to follow that particular scholar - from amongst the four Imaams or those before or after them - then this person is misguided, sinful, and innovative. We are not Bakrees, ‘Umarees, ‘Uthmaanees, or ‘Alawees. We are Muslims who submit to the commands of Allaah Azza wa Jal. Hence we do not worship except Allaah, and we do not follow except the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). We ascribe ourselves to Islaam. So the call that it is obligatory to follow only one scholar is misguidance and impermissible, and this is what took place amongst the latter generations of those who adhere to a madh-hab.

Question (nos. 233): Should a person be obliged to take a medical checkup before marriage?

‘Life was simple and honesty was the premise in the first generation. It was never their policy to hide and not disclose faults. This is why when the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) asked to marry Umm Salamah, she said to the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), “Yaa Rasullullaah I am a woman prone to jealousy, I have dependents (children), I am old, and I cannot give birth.” Thus, she clearly stated her faults. Hence the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said to her, “As for me, I am older than you. As for your jealousy, I will make du’aa to Allaah azza wa jal that He rids you of it, and as for the children, then (their care) is upon Allaah and His Messenger.”’

A brief word from the late Imaam of Yemen concerning how to handle the constantly spinning merry-go-round of doubts, rumours and propaganda at the hands of the those who attack the da’wah of ahlus-sunnah.

Thus, it is mandatory to expose falsehood and defend the da’wah whilst you are busy propagating the call –and all praise belongs to Allaah. However, we do not want ourselves to become preoccupied with refuting this person and that person as this is what they desire for us to do.

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen on Unity with the Islaamic Parties and the People of Innovation

http://www.sunnahpublishing.net/audio/uthaymeenahzaab.wma

Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen on Working with the Islaamic Parties

The noble Scholar, Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen is asked if it is from wisdom to work with the parties that ascribe themselves to Islaam in order to confront the Secularists and Communists, or is it from wisdom to not work with such Islaamic parties and completely abandon political work. Though the answer was given years ago, we find it highly appropriate in light of the recent calls to participate in the electoral process and to co-operate with the people of innovation!

Truly, the aims mentioned in the question above to Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen are the same ones that Yasir Qadhi and his followers seek to achieve with their pledge of unity upon falsehood.

Yasir Qadhi wrote that from the aims of the recent pledge for unity upon falsehood is, “…and at a community level they should come together in order to counter any and all negative and false images of Islam.”

He also wrote, “Therefore there needs to be a more pragmatic and realistic attempt at cooperation, one that retains our traditionalisms and respects our historical traditions, yet at the same time takes into account the context of our current political and social situation.”

The fellow pledgee, Tawfique Chowdhury, hurried to chime in, “As far as I am concerned, I am convinced that the state of dawah that we are in, with our religion being insulted at every second article and our Prophet at every second cartoon editorial, the very future existence of muslims minorities at question and our own muslim countries being erroded day by day through the silent work of missionaries - it then falls upon the able, to unite in a manner and upon a platform that is possible to unite on, to present a more cohensive front to the intellectual, political and media onslaught on our way of life and our values and ideals.”

So they wish to confront the political and media onslaught against Islaam by uniting with the people of innovation and getting involved in political work - thus leaving off the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih - the manhaj of at-tasfiyah wat-tarbiyah (purification and education). Rather, they seek to compromise and water-down the manhaj in order accomodate their friends from the people of innovation.

Previously, we had presented the words of Imaam al-Albaanee who said the same as Imaam Ibnul-’Uthaymeen about this superficial unity:

http://www.sunnahpublishing.net/audio/unityasharee.wma

Shaykh al-Albaanee on Unity with the Ash’arees, Soofees and Maatureedees.

The noble muhaddith, Imaam Muhammad Naasirud-Deen al-Albaanee rahimahullaah clarifies the futility of those who want to unite Salafees along with Soofees, Ash’arees and Maatureedees, with the argument that if we overlook our major differences, we will then be able to face the enemies of Islaam and the Muslims. As the Shaykh explains, such people want us to abolish the Sharee’ah of Allaah for the sake of this superficial and ill-conceived unity.

However, the advices from the Scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah, such as al-Albaanee and Ibnul-’Uthaymeen, do not hold any weight with Yasir and his ilk, because he turns to others for guidance, “Others whom I respect and would turn to for guidance in matters related to the situation of Western Muslims are Sh. Jafar Idris and Sh. Salah al-Sawi. I spoke with both of these Shaykhs about cooperating on a public level with certain famous individuals (who have also signed the pledge)…”

And Ja’far was way ahead of Yasir in uniting with the people of innovation in order to confront the western onslaught against Islaam…

Ja’far Idris said in a lecture entitled, “Unity Among Western Muslim Communities” delivered more than a decade ago, “I think it is very important for Muslims living in the West - let us just confine ourselves to the United States - it is very important for Muslims living in the West to be united, because, as I said, I think yesterday, whether we like it or not, we are all considered as Muslims. There is only one label, and sometimes even fundamentalist Muslims. And even those who don’t go to the mosque, since they are Muslims they will be called fundamentalists. And someone said all Muslims are by definition fundamentalists. So there is no way of running away from this, we are all Muslims, we are all fundamentalists, according to some people, and we will be treated as such, so it is better for us to be united. The ideal thing is for all the Muslims, all over the United States, to have one organization, one leadership. And that organization will include all Muslims, whether they are Salafis, or people who have some deviation from the Sunnah, because the Prophet sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam said that this Ummah will be divided - you know the hadeeth of the Prophet - that they will be divided, but all those divisions are divisions of Muslims.”

As for Yasir’s other guide, the cowardly Qa’dee (inciter to revolution) known as Salaah as-Saawee - or Salaah al-Ghaawee (Salaah the misguided) as Shaykh Muqbil used to call him, then read below for an exposition of his covert Khaarijee manhaj:

http://www.sunnahpublishing.net/modules/Manhaj/sitters.pdf

Salaah as-Saawee and the Qa’diyyah: A Revolutionary Movement

The Khawaarijul-Qad’iyyah (inciters) are a revolutionary movement from ancient times, as well as the present. They are those who sit atop the pulpits and in other places and incite the people to revolt against their rulers without actually revolting themselves.
